Barbara Walker is a proud Wiradjuri woman from Wagga Wagga, NSW, (living in Pittsworth Qld), who is practising traditional coiling weaving and teaching also. Being able to share weaving techniques, for many different applications, with all who are wanting to learn, brings her satisfaction. She has just completed Certificate 3 in Wiradjuri Language to be able to promote the use of traditional language; and incorporates language in weaving, to help people connect
to culture. Barb incorporates as much natural fibre and items into her weave as possible. Barbara has always had an interest in many art forms. She has been an avid sewer of clothing, quilts, patchwork, bags, and purses. She has always been practicing knitting knitting, crochet, and various styles of embroidery. Barb has also done papercrafts of scrapbooking, card making and Floral punch craft.
